I had planned to kick this off eventually, and don't want to over promise as it's potentially a large undertaking with the full plan. Baby steps. However, there's already enough content across the forums to put together a decent article for a community showcase / spotlight. Below I'll go through some tiers / plans.
Tier 1 - Forums and external content
If the forums really took off my thinking was was to lift from the glut of content and posted to the forums as a kind of curated summary. Have seen other forums then have something a badges / trophy under usernames or such to denote the forum member has been featured on the main site. Would have to lump that in with the wider forums awards, trophies etc. system that I just haven't gotten my head around yet. Fine to leave this a s alter dite feature I think.
Shouldn't need permissions for this type of post given it's all public content on the same root platform regardless, it's just a highlight. (often a nice surprise when you get 'featured' as well.
I was expecting there to not be enough content for a while and instead to perhaps showcase the best blogs and reddit posts out there to highlight what's happing in the wider community. (maybe use the community here to highlight some of those!) Naturally these would need author permissions and might be good marketing to get the word about the site out there. I know if someone approached me about featuring their minis from reddit and a full site, with credit, I;d have been pretty chuffed and certainly would have checked it out.
More like Tier 0.5 here as it's a secondary source.
Tier 2 - Full articles from user generated content
Potentially some of that content could go further in several tiers - the first would be turning forum content into a specific site post / article. Here I'd set up the user as a linked author (with their real name or alias in the site depending on what they prefer) and post it as a full article / post submission. If in future Tier 3 became an option that same account would be used (it would essentially be an Author account, just with login blocked)
Tier 3- Additional site authors in specific areas
The tier beyond that is having actual guest or regular authors covering specific areas or topics and me acting just as a editor / SEO clearer / reviewer before publishing items to the site. (i.e. giving some a full Author account on wordpress and access to the main site). Likely this would set up a specific category or column and give them access directly to create posts in the wordpress system through that. (wordpress have several built in tiers of users and pretty powerful permissions controls).
In very large sites you'll have multiple specific editors, perhaps covering a top line topic and just a range of authors under them. I never see the site getting that large, too small a niche, I imagine sites like Goonhammer use this though. If tier 4 took off a dedicated blogging editor might be a role.
My main hope here was to have someone at the cutting edge of competitive play upon release who wants to detail / have a column series there while I plug away as desktop analysis and stats. A faction site really can't be taken seriousl;y in the modern game without a trusted / proven source at the top end of competitive play, give it is a heavy focus 9about the same volume level as hobby content) in their current environment. Without this we're half a site / just a hobby focsed one (not a bad thing, but I was SWT to cover all bases, properly be a one-stop shop for EC).
Likewise of there is a passionate AoS or HH specialist. Even guest authors from other sites are possible should they want some of their EC content hosted here with a byline rather than just linked to their own site / blog.
Tier 4 Blogging platform and 4.5 fully open user submitted content
Alongside this I have investigated a few options for other user submitted content. Essentially instead of or alongside painting blogs could offer a blogging feature on the site so people could publish their blogs on the web as well as / rather than the forums. Basically offer a blogging platform for whatever your hobby interested are as long as there is decent Slannesh content there. This is a larger development and the editing / curating functions and workload need to be considered as well.
It would also allow anyone, on the site, forums or not, to submit a form with an article they wish to write to be feature on the main site potentially. Another can of worms there (plagiarism especially, checking it;s not something lifted form elsewhere is tough), but also doable. Think of this as an extremely powerful contact form. (in fact i could build something myself to do just this, but much better to just pay for a decent plug-in, even if I'd love to push my skillset, really not worth the time and wouldn't be to the level of a proper developer)
Emerging role of She Who Thirsts / myself
Essentially these are all ideas to ensure the best EC / Slaanesh related content comes together and offer tools / avenues for that. (noting I;d be more than happy to end up more akin to an editor / webmaster in the EC / Slaanesh hobby that a single author pumping out blog content)
Planned first showcase
These are the threads I was going to highly, I'll probably toss in some content from my own painting log as well. The Fulgrim magnetised thread I was going to get additional pictures and turn in to the main site;s first hobby guide article separately though.

Thought? feedback?
It's nice to have a few active folk on here (quicker than expected!, I thought the first through weeks / months would be tumbleweeds until there was more evidence of solid, useful content) now so be able to directly hear thoughts from other community members on all the plans I had in mind, definitely open to matching that to what people would hope to see.

Firebrand's Children Project Log
Been looking forward to start one of these, I always enjoy reading them. I'll start off with the ones I already have completed, or most of them at least. Further progress will probably be slow, as I'm a slow painter, and a bit of a hobby butterfly at the best of times. This is one of the first...

Character Description Compendium: The Cohors Nausicae/ The Faultless
With the members of the Third legion and their allies spread through out swathes of books it can at times be quite a task to hunt down the descriptions of them, be it for art, conversions/kitbashes, lore discussions or any number of things. As such my hope with this thread is to make things a...

Book recommendations
So, given the current lack of ink regarding our beloved legion, renegages, and Slaanesh in general, I thougt it would be cool to have a thread to recommend books and other written content, from codex fragments to novels and other books (like the good ol' Liber chaotica); even non-warhammer books...

Videogames with slaaneshi vibes
Fellow perfect gamers, I would like to use this thread to share some videogames that have slaaneshi vibes/influence/inspiration. So far, I have only played three titles that gave me those vibes: Lust from Beyond, Layers of Fear and Warframe-the Duviri Paradox. Lust from Beyond is a horror...
