Just a quick note, I have been absolutely slammed at work for a few weeks, and been juggling sick kids to boot. About to go live on a major project (12th June) and I have lost a couple of my senior staff so I'm working all hours right now. Expect my time to be pretty severely restricted until early/mid July at least.

Have content prepared for the May Community Spotlight article and aiming to get that published, and maybe I'm 50% through the research for the likely detachments and play styles article (and maybe 20% on lore article) which would complete the main series on the new codex predictions /speculation (Date, Units, Rules, lore). Given any news or a release prior to Spring 2025 is looking unlikely slowing down the pace shouldn't impact things to much. All the site content and developments is essentially in preparation for us being a full faction and then the real fun begins.

Have a raft of updated and corrections / typos from the current articles after that then a planned pipeline of other items (stretching to 20+ articles), so a lot still to come. Hoping to also cover EC themed lists when they start popping up on the meta as well. Though being CSM with minor restrictions and Lucius isn't really off too much note, seeing EC heavily themed lists and how to be successful should be.

Just noting in case me dropping into radio silence for a bit started worries of the site being a flash in the pan so to speak!

Spoke way too soon, 9 weeks and about 800 hours of work later and things are somewhat normalising. Losing key staff (twice) in the middle of a system change and merger was not the most enjoyable time I've had in my career to say the least! (Sadly, not the worst either).

It had pushed everything else to the side but feel like I'm back in the real world again now and can start picking other projects up. Actually got a brush out last night and unwound a bit. At least no surprise EC announcement during that time!

I'd honestly be surprised if there was an announcement this year at all.

Indeed! Although, with the recent Torquemada, Sanguinor and Sanguinary guard debacle, I'm starting to worry a tiny bit about the quality of our sculpts for the future release. Although, being 100% honest, I'm already planning to use those Sanguinary guard bodies for slaaneshi renegades, the sculpted abs give a magnificent greek-decadentism look :ROFLMAO:

Oh my word, what were they thinking with Torquemada?!

The upside, though, is they did some good, the new Sanguinary Priest, Asorath, Lemartes and the Captain all look great. Most of which could also make fine kitbash material, for Slaanesh or Minotaurs.

The muscular fibers armor of Astorath is prime slaaneshi material indeed!
 
More life, children of a different nature, right when EC news is finally solid, different priorities though. This little miss and her mum (and our two other boys) have been keeping me on my toes. Didn't go quite to plan but she's finally here at home though and settling into some semblance of normality. Hoping to get time to keep activity ticking over on the major news at least, few community spotlights and the like (naturally if and when I have time when things settle). Imagine we'll be seeing a lot of folk looking for EC information and interaction now!

At least 2025 is our year, I was closer to this one's age than my own now when the first EC codex rumours started....

Things should start to pick up again now, settled into a routine and finally back at work. Having some structure will allow me to grab a few hours here and there again. I have a few updates ready and a return post, along with the previous community update and something on Tacticus (kept me sane through all the various medical and bub related time).

Of course, sods law, updates didn't all go smoothly but I'm enjoying having a technical problem occupying sometime / thought rather than entertaining small children!

Still haven't got back to normal. Having nothing around all the teasers and run ups to the big reveal, and the drop itself, I expect anyone would have figured something was up. Hardly been following them myself.

Health took a decidedly bad turn and currently recovering from an operation with more to follow after some tests / recovery. Sod's law indeed that for the big reveal itself after 20+ years waiting I was under the knife at that exact point.

Honestly not sure how things will go the next few months, best case would be on the up with some recovery time leaving me able to try and keep the site active and on purpose through the busy period up to Launch. Worst case this will be far from my mind and could look to hand it over (if someone is open to that) or shutter things if not really needed by the community / it doesn’t find traction due to missing the boat on launch.

Glad that you are recovering! Take care always, and may your strength grow by the day as the minis approach!
