Videogames with slaaneshi vibes

Fellow perfect gamers, I would like to use this thread to share some videogames that have slaaneshi vibes/influence/inspiration. So far, I have only played three titles that gave me those vibes: Lust from Beyond, Layers of Fear and Warframe-the Duviri Paradox.

Lust from Beyond is a horror survival game with some NSFW scenes, mainly sex and violence. You get caught in the war between two pleasure cults (one more debased and degenerate and one more elegant and refined), and end up exploring the plane (kinda inspired in Leviathan's labyrinth from Hellraiser 2, but made of flesh a la Slaanesh) of a rather lovecraftian god of pleasure. The gameplay was rather bad though, imo. The combat is very lacking and the plot is kinda slow. But the graphics are so nice, and the pleasure plane is just magnificent in its decadence. The creatures that inhabit it are top design, specially some flying weird dragonflies with porcelain doll faces. Pretty slaaneshi, if you ask me. Mid game, but good enough for a couple of hours. The interest here is the aesthetics.

Layers of Fear is another survival horror. In this case, you are a victorian painter (the victorian house and the multiple painting in the game are gorgeous!) coming back home, and facing the death of your family, while you try to finish your final masterpiece painting. This game is great in every aspect. Linear, yes, like many horror games of this type, but entertaining and fascinating. Paint using charred skin, see how the painting look back at you, and get more and more obsessed. It's really good, I insist. The graphics are simply amazing! I like the fact that it let's you explore artistic obsession and madness, given that it is an obsession mentioned a lot in BL books about EC/Fulgrim/Slaanesh. So, all in all, I greatly recommend it.

Finally, The Duviri Paradox. I had never played Warframe before (it's not the kind of MMO I like), but I saw a promotional image of this expansion, and it captivated me. You can play it directly and for free (or at least you could when it was released), without touching any other place in the Warframe game. Your character is trapped in some sort of clockwork/digital; world-prison, governed by a capricious king that controls every aspect. The gamepley is ok if you like that kind of game but, yet again, the real interest lies in the aesthetics! It is probably one of the most slaaneshi things I have seen: elegant, decadent, onirical, luxurious, harmonious, broken... I enjoyed SO much the graphics and the designs. The antagonist is modelled as some kind of harlequin king, rich and extravagant. The city were he reigns is really elegant, colorful, splendent, yet abandoned and decadent. Everything looks so rich and luxurious, and artificial, fake and creepy somehow. One of the main threats is a clockworl chinese dragon that feels the perfect example of a daemon engine! And you get a customizable mount (a clockwork horse) that would be fitting for a champion of She-who-thirsts! There is also a metaphore with a broken child's toy that adds a lot of slaaneshi depth to it, I really liked that detail. I played it to completion once and loved it so much that even today, several years later, I still remember it fondly. Never played Warframe again though. I add the trailers, so you can get an idea of the aesthetics:

Forgot to add Endless Space 1 and 2, as well as Love thyself: a Horatio story. In these three you can find a funnier, more light-hearted obsessive maniac: Horatio, a simple trillionaire who, considering himself the most beautiful in the universe, created a galactic empire out of his clones. Their society is based on aesthetics, arrogance, and luxury, and the quotes from the games are just too funny and full of themselves, that I had to include it here. The aethetics (creepy and majestic in the original Endless Space, Elegant and luxurious in the 2nd) are truly worth it also. Their ships would totally fit a Slaanesh marines fleet. And the vanity and politics of their empire are also very fitting. If you like strategy games (or just silly fun games in the case of Love thyself -really short and free game in Steam-), I recommend them a lot, specially the 2nd Endless Space. A favorite of mine, with a lot of depth, nice lore, and great graphics. The Horatio might not be your typical darker slaaneshi guys (i.e. not a ton of horror and deviancy), but their aesthetics, their obession with beauty and the fact that you can genocide entire species to beautify the galaxy and add their useful DNA traits to your clone population (like good ol' Fabius would do) make them rather enjoyable if you are a follower of the Dark Prince.

Edit: Adding another trailer to set the tone about this wonderful man:

I played the Lust series, I pretty much agree with you, mediocre gameplay in some epic worldbuilding. I'd say it's worth it on a good sale.

Agony and Succubus could count too, though they're neither great games not as well styled, very much feels edgelording for edglordings sake,

Currently digging into Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes(old Suikoden fan), and while it's not Slanneshi in the slightest on it's own, this fella joined my crew early and quickly became my fave for kinda obvious reasons.

Darktide, I missed the boat on Vermintide (or rather, old world Skaven didn't appeal to me and co=-op as awkward with timezones then)

Darktide is a blast though.
I'm the total opposite. Enjoyed Vermintide a lot (got it for free 1 or 2 years ago), but have never played Darktide.

I never played either, bit of a loner when it comes to videogames, which works out well because I generally like RPG's and old turn based ones like Final Fantasy(shame they stopped making them after 10...) and Suikoden especially.

I'm baffled some videogame crowd never got the idea to do something like Final Fantasy 7/8/9, but Warhammer.

Honestly, usually the same. I have a group of friends who play co-op regularly with online was never really my thing. Maybe Heroes of Might and Magic 3 back in the day.

Games are a solo unwind or co-op and bit of craic, usually the long RPGs too. Rogue trader has been pretty damned fun as well.

Darktide just gets me in with the setting. I found being on theme boosts what i would rate a lot of games by 1-2 out of 10 just as it resonates. Things like Blood Bowl and the recent Necromunda games I wouldn't even look at really if I didn't have the connection.

Still, games now take so much effort, barely have it in me. Brotato is probably what I've played most this year! (it;s has little purple daemons, kind of Slannesh themed? ;))

That's how I found the likes of Boltgun, as a pure boomer shooter, it was pretty average. As a Warhammer videogame, a must play. Need to properly dig into Rogue Trader, but CRPG's are usually a bit too deep mechanically for me.

I wanted to get into Rogie Trader, but I found the character customization a tad lacking (although, tbh, I'm just super exigent when it comes to character creation options).

I quite enjoyed the original Space Marine, mainly the multiplayer, since you could customize your armor pieces and colours. Thus I could play as a slaaneshi CSM from my very own warband.

Oh cool, I really need to go back and finish Space Marine before the 2nd comes out.
The main campaign is kinda good, and Titus might be the only ever ultramarine that doesn't suck 100%. The combat is so satisfying too. But the game really shines in multiplayer (both co-op and pvp).
